A specific form of bodywork which requires advanced training in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Palpation. This treatment is helpful for chronic pain and improving function of the musculoskeletal system. Neuromuscular treatments umbrella a wide variety of modalities including: myofascial release, reciprocal/autogenic inhibition, active engagement (synonymous with ART), trigger point therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and many more. These sessions include both passive and client engagement and it may be advisable to wear athletic clothing depending on the area of focus.

With advanced studies and training from Whitney Lowe, Ben Benjamin PHD, and Michael Leahy PHD, I provide Orthopedic treatment to my clients when appropriate. This type of treatment is especially beneficial when paired with physical therapy and/or chiropractic care to support quicker injury recovery. These sessions may not be relaxing in nature and depending of the area of focus, athletic wear may be warranted.

Performance-minded support. As an athlete and personal trainer myself, I deliver attuned care to help prepare your muscles and tendons to be active ready for your event, and provide restorative care afterwards. Guided active, and facilitated passive stretches are a pillar of these sessions and active wear is required for treatment. CorrectIve exercise guidance with muscular balancing included at the end of manual therapy.

Creating exercise regimes that focus on preventing or correcting postural, performance and other musculoskeletal imbalances.
For neuromuscular re-education plans, I follow Brookbush’s Corrective Treatment Continuum, which is - release, mobilize, lengthen, activate, stabilize, and integrate. These sessions combine both manual therapy and guided exercise to achieve balanced or functional posture and performance. Gym attire is required.

Very similar to the focused stationary traditional method of cupping this has a similar approach, however the therapist will use a movement along with the suction creating a vacuum and stripping of the fascial tissue. In these sessions, the cups are applied and moved across different muscle groups to create a “cupping massage.” We administer both forms of cupping for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, lymphatic stimulation, relaxation, and well-being.
